ANNUAL REPORT 2021-2022

“Education is the most powerful weapon which one can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela
It gives me immense happiness and delight to accentuate the progress of Takshasila Public School in the Academic year 2021-2022 even during the pandemic. The session saw a switch from regular classes in the school to online classes at home. Both students and teachers have adjusted themselves to the new ways of learning/teaching methodology. Our Teachers at Takshasila have given a tremendous contribution to enhancing themselves by up-skilling their knowledge of Technology to meet the demands of online classes. The entire team of our teachers updated themselves with the technology to take up virtual classes which seemed to be a herculean task, yet geared up and were able to manage the challenges in order to meet the needs of our students. Our teachers left no stone unturned in accepting the challenge. The hard work and determination that the team at TPS has put led us to success. Our academic year began in online mode in the month of March for classes IX/X and subsequently other classes from the month of April. We continued with Online mode for all the classes for the entire I term. Later 10th, 9th, and 8th students attended the school physically in offline mode. We could complete 2021-2022 successfully by completing Term-2 exams for PP- class 5 online and offline for classes 6-9.
The final exam results were declared on 3rd march for 7th, 8th and 9th students whereas from PP to 6th the declaration of Term-2 results was on 7th March 2022. We are continuing with the regular offline classes for Class X and the students are being trained to appear for their forthcoming Board Exams.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

We also emphasize the all-round development of the students. Apart from academics, several co-curricular activities and celebrations were organized in the school to foster the values.
To develop effective communication skills, competitive spirit, various literary, cultural, art/craft competitions were held in the online mode systematically in which all the students had participated enthusiastically and the winners were awarded certificates. To ignite interest and create awareness about Science and Technology into students’ minds, Spark 2022 – Science Fair was organized in the school on 25th November. Students were given an opportunity to showcase their scientific temper through various projects and experiments in SPARK 2022-Science Fair. The best demonstrated projects were awarded prizes.

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMES FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS

In order to ensure the enhancement of the quality of education and to promote self-improvement, all the teachers took part in online trainings/orientation programmes/webinars conducted by CBSE. Students also participated in various programmes conducted by CBSE.

ART INTEGRATED LEARNING

Subject enrichment activities aimed at the understanding and skill development of the children were taken up by all the teachers. Besides, the art-integrated education activities embedded in classroom teaching created not only joyous classrooms but also imbibed the values of Indian art &amp culture in the students.

PARENT TEACHER MEETING

In order to ensure balanced growth of the children, PTMs were held both online and offline wherein the parents got the feedback about their child’s progress. Parents were encouraged to attend the PTM’s since these meetings play a vital role in bridging the relationship between parents and teachers. The final PTM was held offline for all the classes till class 9.

VACCINATION DRIVE

All the teachers are vaccinated against COVID-19. Around 50 students of class X were vaccinated with both the doses in the campus. The global pandemic has led us to a paradigm shift in the way we learn today. Before I conclude, let me assure that even though our students from Nursery to class 5 are learning through online mode, top priority is given to academic performance. RLAs, Term exams, assignments, project work, art integrated activities; online competitions have kept the students busy throughout the year. I render my gratitude to our management, teachers/non-teaching staff, students & parents who have been with us in all our activities with maximum support and co-operation. The next academic year 2022-2023 commenced from 9th March 2022 for high school in offline mode. The school re-opens for classes 1–7 from 21st March 2022 and for Pre-primary students from 28th March 2022. We at Takshasila constantly endeavor to achieve success in the coming academic year with full enthusiasm for the holistic development of the students. We wish to grow consistently and steadily in the coming years. ‘Success is a journey not a destiny’
